The central plot is a reversal of the show's original premise. The Company has kidnapped Lincoln's son, LJ (Marshall Allman), and Michael's love, Dr. Sara Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callies), to force Michael into action. His mission is not to escape himself, but to break out a mysterious inmate named James Whistler who is hiding in the prison's sewers. With the clock ticking and the lives of his loved ones hanging in the balance, Michael must use every ounce of his ingenuity to plan an impossible breakout from a prison from which no one has ever escaped.
September 24, 2007 As a power struggle erupts inside Sona over dwindling water supplies, Michael and Mahone form an uneasy alliance to lure the elusive Whistler out of hiding. Outside the prison, Lincoln runs into a familiar face while trying to gather the resources to free his brother.
Michael enters Sona and quickly learns the brutal rules of the prison, governed by the inmate kingpin Lechero. He is forced into a gladiatorial fight to the death. On the outside, Lincoln learns about the abduction of Sara and LJ.
Michael’s first escape attempt fails due to sudden cloud cover ruining their distraction. To save face and survive, Michael is forced to enter the ring for a death match against another prisoner. Episode 8: "Bang & Burn"
Following the failed rescue, Gretchen sends Lincoln a warning package. Driven by desperation, Michael begins planning the physical escape, attempting to hotwire the prison's electrical system. Mahone is haunted by hallucinations of Oscar Shales. Episode 5: "Interference"
Translates the interactions with the Panamanian military guards patrolling the outer fences. Episode 8: "Bang & Burn"
Michael adjusts to the brutal reality of Sona, where disputes are settled in a gladiatorial ring to the death. He crosses paths with former foes Brad Bellick and Alexander Mahone, who are also incarcerated. Meanwhile, Lincoln tries to find a way to contact Michael from the outside.
After the chaotic events at the end of Season 2, Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) finds himself incarcerated once again. However, Sona is nothing like Fox River. Following a bloody riot a year prior, the guards abandoned the inside of the prison, leaving the inmates to govern themselves under a brutal hierarchy run by a local drug lord named Lechero.
Michael bakes in the isolation box but refuses to break. Meanwhile, Sammy (Lechero’s right-hand man) challenges Lechero’s leadership, threatening the escape tunnel Michael has been secretly digging. Episode 10: "Dirt Nap"
Because Season 3 has multiple releases (Blu-Ray, HDTV, Amazon Prime, Disney+), the subtitles might drift by a few seconds. Here is how to fix that in (Free):
Don't let a bad audio mix ruin the moment Michael Scofield looks at the camera and says, "Just have a little faith." Get the subtitles, sync them up, and enjoy the escape.
