The Dean's List is a key academic award, but CAS has other notable honors. For students with a GPA of 3.65 or higher, they can also qualify for Departmental Honors programs and the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa society. Strong academic performance also qualifies students for the Dean's Award for Leadership (given to students showing excellence in both academics and community leadership) and College-Wide and Departmental Awards, which honor specific achievements in a particular field.
You must earn a combined GPA of 3.650 or higher across the entire academic year (September to May). Note that NYU carries GPAs to two decimal places on official records but does not round them up.
Eligibility is based on the academic year; transferring can complicate credit accumulation.
