My Older Sister Falling Into Depravity And I Link [top]
Depravity is a moral judgment. Before you label your sister’s behavior, distinguish between:
She didn't respond for three weeks. I thought she was dead.
Do not let anyone shame you for staying linked. Blood loyalty is a primal force. But do not let that loyalty consume you. The most radical act of love you can offer a depraved sibling is to refuse to become depraved yourself.
Living in the orbit of a sibling’s crisis takes a heavy toll on your own mental well-being. It is common to experience a chaotic mix of conflicting emotions. my older sister falling into depravity and i link
Many younger siblings feel an overwhelming, albeit irrational, urge to "save" their older sister. This perception of duty can lead to severe burnout, anxiety, and the neglect of personal life goals. 2. Guilt and "Survivor's Syndrome"
This brings me to the crux of the keyword:
Making excuses for her behavior to protect her or the family image. Depravity is a moral judgment
It is common to experience guilt when one's own life is stable while a sibling's is in chaos. This guilt can sometimes compel individuals to enable destructive behavior by providing financial support or making excuses for harmful actions. 3. Grief and Loss
Not to save her—but to remind her that there was something worth swimming back to.
The "falling" part happened fast. By the spring, she dropped out of university. She moved into a basement studio in the bad part of the city. She started waitressing at a goth-industrial club that didn't open until midnight. Do not let anyone shame you for staying linked
When faced with a sibling’s descent, the most important step is often the hardest: . Protecting your mental health is not selfish; it is necessary.
Be the sliver.
If your older sister is falling—if she is lost to addiction, to cruelty, to the void—don’t jump in after her. You will both drown. But don’t walk away forever. Stand at the edge. Tie a rope around your waist. Anchor yourself to something solid (a therapist, a support group, a higher power). And keep one hand on that rope.

Your summary got me more excited for this… patiently waiting for the series to get dubbed. 🙂

Thanks for the storyline – I’ve been struggling through the series, waiting for the Ken plot to arrive. My favorite scenario is when people enjoy their work and, through it, find their love so I think this will be fun.
