Slide the middle pole over the bottom pole. Align any pre-drilled holes according to your manual. To lock them together, lift the combined poles vertically and strike the bottom pole firmly against a scrap piece of wood placed on the concrete. Repeat this action 3 to 4 times. This mechanical seating ensures the poles do not slide or wobble later.

Select a flat, level area. Concrete driveways are ideal. Avoid slanted surfaces, as they alter the rim height and stability.

Slide the top, middle, and bottom poles together. You must strike the poles firmly on a piece of scrap wood or a hard surface 5–6 times to "seat" them correctly; failure to do so can cause the system to separate or collapse during use.

The extension arms connect the assembled backboard to the main pole structure and dictate the smooth movement of the lifter mechanism.
